Pin-obsession
Ok so I'm no a part of the Pin team so my opinion has no bias, and I haven't been "pinning" for more than a few months...just so you can understand where I'm coming from. I thought it was just like Tumblr:
Search stuff up, share the stuff you like, other people can like it and share it too.
BUT I was so wrong!
YES I still love tumblr, but I don't find I go on it much more since.
See I used Tumblr for inspiration, and found that not only was I only re-blogging the stuff I thought fit the theme of my Tumblr page but I'd only save the specific images I got the inspiration from onto my phone or computer. Not only did this cause more confusion, but it also lead to issues knowing my sources.
AFTER 117 photo-shoots, you can imagine how big these folders of inspiration pictures became; my phone was constantly at capacity and I had such a hard time remembering if I saved the pic I wanted to my phone, or computer.
I then saved some of the images onto drop box so I could peak at em when ever I wanted from what ever device...then I got at capacity of my drop box! ...
I KNOW...
DROPBOX...WTF Capacity?!
Then I ventured onto pinterest and started to gather inspiration on a folder there. Little did I know that soon enough this resource has become my BLOODstream of inspiration. Not only do many mags/publications, and other professionals in the fashion and photography scene use this, but advertise with it and use it to get MORE exposure and use it almost as a social media outlet!
Now if you were to look at my pinterest page, you probably wouldn't see much.

Sure ideas get stolen, I'm sure my boards are similar to others and that's all fine, I'm not worried about folks copying me or obviously the inspiration I draw from. I understand there is no such thing as an original idea. Everyone does their own thing and I'm ok with that..
BUT I also organize my outfits and dresses and wardrobe pieces, and it's all about preparing for me and I find Pinterest is perfect for me to gather my mood boards!
IN THE END I am tooting the shit out of Pinterest here for any creative, especially if you're in this sort of scene! :D
